I heard a loud noise from my backyard a hour ago or so , I go look outside and find a neighbor's tree fell and took out my fence and is resting against the roof of my garage.i informed the neighbors about the situation and upon seeing it he said it will be taken care of tomorrow and he heartfully apologized.how long do you think it will take to get this fixed through the neighbors insurance

It won’t. Your neighbors insurance insures their house an property. Not yours. Tree fell in wind storm. Unless you put him on notice before there’s no liability.

I don't know about that,

They may not cover it directly but...............

During Sandy a tree from across the street fell into my driveway taking out two cars (totalled them), embedding itself in the driveway, brought down three sections of fence & ripped the gutter off the front of my house. Darn big tree - at least 100 feet.

My insurance covered the damage & then went after the Town to recoup the loss as it was tree on the Town's property. Tree also snapped a telephone pole in half on it's way down.

You will have to go thru your own insurance most likely. But I would call ur own insurance company anyway. Same chit happened to my daughters fence last year. Neighbors branch. We bought a new section for 100 bucks and fixed it ourselves. Too small to claim. I then went to town on any branches hanging over her fence with a pole saw when no one was peeking. Hehe ?

Did he take care of It?

Heard nothing from them today..if I don't hear from em by the weekend I'm buying a chainsaw....no damages to the house..fence is a quick fix.... just need a place to get rid of the wood....might have a few neighbors who have fire places

Lol....I don't expect anyone to come to Brooklyn for wood or labor..lol I've got it covered...plenty of neighbors with fire pits and fire places

Hey Pan... not sure if you saw it or not but I had sent you a PM on the insurance question as I just happen to know a little bit about the subject;)
