Went trolling in Kensico Reservoir last week in Westchester County. It was a pretty warm but somewhat windy day. I ended up limiting out on lake trout trolling shallow, every time I went from the 40' channel up a dropoff to about 20' it was game on (in a certain area). Shore bite picked up last week too and I've caught some nice fish from shore over the last week. I'm lucky to live 5 minutes from the lake. The first trout I caught trolling had a fish sticking out of it's mouth but was still hungry. After talking to some folks the consensus seems to be that it is a little chain pickerel. I've seen this on TV before but it was my first time experiencing it, pretty cool. It's common for smallies and trout there to cough up alewifes and small stuff but I'd never seen that before!
