next update will be if a system makes landfall in the united states or effects the south shore of long Island and New York with swells the rest of this month. Little over 2 weeks left in this season. Hopefully it ends on a quiet note.

In March, 2024 the city of St. Petersburg, FL lowered their wind and flood insurance from $100M to $25M on Tropicana Field to save the city $275,000 a year in insurance premiums.
