I bet used car companies like Carvana go out of Business

Look at the Carvana website and see all the inventory they have and no buyers. Crazy how high the used car prices are. I bought a 2017 Kia Sedona LX Minivan for $20,000 in 2018 from Carvana. Now the price is around $24,000 for a vehicle with double the mileage I had. I bought mine with 32,000 miles. Used Car Prices will come down very fast again. Carvana has 18 pages of used Ram Trucks for sale. Before Covid 19 there were 3 or 4 pages .Nobody is buying.

One of these days I am going to have to trade in my beloved 2010 Ranger with its still under 30K mileage. If the Maverick came with a 6 foot bed, or even a 5 foot bed, AWD if not 4WD, a hybrid engine, and was still smaller than the new Rangers which are the size of the old F150s...

I disagree that these type of used car companies will fail
Them and car max are already solid and are the wave of the future for youngsters who do everything on line vs in person
I hope they don't either. Carvana is the best way to buy a car. I see them going bankrupt with all the inventory they have and hardly anyone buying or They'll have to sell the vehicles at cost to clear out the inventory and that's when prices will tumble. The last year we've read stories about the car shortage and then I see the Carvana website flooded with unsold cars. Something doesn't add up.

I sold my wifes 2015 Rogue Select with 56,800 miles to Mcgovern Auto Group, I got 15k for it, they came out and picked it up.
They sent a copy of the check to my phone, I went to the bank and asked if the check was legit, the bank took a few minutes but came back and said the check was legit, they picked up the Rogue on friday the 21st, 10 min later I was at the bank and cashed the check.

Carvana and Carmax offered me 12k, Key Lincoln Hyundai of Milford Ct offered me 9k cash, I laughed in their face.
I had it on Autotrader and got 10 scammers in like an hour all offering me way over what I was asking.

I bought a left over 2019 Highlander back in Jan of 2020, it only has 6k miles on it, it went in for its second oil change 2 weeks ago, the dealership offered me 45k for the car, I paid 37k, I declined the offer, I asked them what am I supposed to buy with the 45k, you have nothing in the lot but used cars, I don't need another truck or an overpriced 4 runner your asking 65k for, besides it's paid for and I don't need to go back in the hole with another car payment.

I think these places will survive with no problem, there are plenty of desperate people and those that don't know the true value of what they are selling or are in need of quick cash are easy targets, I got with in few hundred of what I was asking, if I had sold it back when used cars were getting ridiculous prices, I would have made out better, but I'm not complaining.

4-Runners are at 65K ?????

My son sold his 2015 Challenger through Carvana. Quick easy and above blue book.
I traded my 2016 Jeep Patriot for a 2017 Kia Sedona LX at Carvana. Got a $12500 trade in for the Jeep that had 27000 miles ( Cost $18500 new ) and paid under $20,000 for a Kia Sedona with 32000 miles. Owned the Jeep 3 years 1 month.I figured I just about broke even considering the Kia cost about $30,000 new. Traded in the Jeep because they had to rebuild the transmission when it had 12,000 miles and then at 26000 miles the clutch went. Drove cars for 150,000 miles and never wore out a clutch and I said the heck with Jeep and traded it in. I towed no more than 1000 pounds .Best car deal I ever made , now I have a Minivan to tow my new 25 Foot Panga Boat.

They are at Colonial Toyota in Milford ct. markup from 48k to 65k for the TRD, he has plenty and I can see why, all the dealers are marking up any new cars they get in , new Broncos are going for 20k over MSRP what a rip off.
WOW. We have a base 2018 4 - Runner in our household which I believe we paid $39-$40K new, with 40K miles on it. Wonder if I could get the same now? :)

I would say yes, they seem to be a popular model for Toyota, I have an 05 Tundra Limited that just turned 46k miles.

I just rebuilt the entire front end last april, not that it needed it, but I was worried about the age of the parts, I had the timing belt done 2 yrs ago, this truck has been very good to me save for an exhaust gas recirculation pump that cost 1600$ to get replaced, I could have gotten it done for nothing but never got the recall and fighting with toyota by the way that wanted 4k to do it was useless.

Colonial Toyota offered me 30k towards a new 2021 Tundra limited, 65k out the door, I told them not a chance, the 2021 Tundra gets 13 mpg around town and 15 mpg highway, my tundra gets 18 to 19 mpg depending how I drive.
The sticker on the new Tundra had a blurb about extra gas tax because of the gas mileage. I was tempted though.

That's right, I remember you posting pictures of your truck. Keep yours for a while. Seems you have it working the way you want. Prices are very high right now.

Why would you get rid of your ranger? Unless theres rust, age is not a factor. Got rid of my beloved 21 year old Yukon with 250K. Only reason was the rust. Otherwise I would still be driving it.

I like the Rangers from the 2000's, I bought an F150 new in 2000 it was a stepside extended cab 5.4 L.
The dealer had it more than I did, the factory rushed to get it done and few things were not completed, they through a
car battery in just to get it shipped to dealer, rain gutters were not done correctly, took it in to have it fixed, the tech went to drill a hole for the pop rivet and the drill popped out and went a foot across the roof, they had to send it to the paint shop and repaint the roof, the rear window had a bladder to hold it in, that let go found the rear window in the back seat.
Traded in in on an 02 tundra I did have an 06 Frontier that was really bad on gas, sold it out right 2 yrs later and bought the 05 tundra with 13k miles on it, the truck has no rust, interior is all leather and in showroom condition, I don't know, just don't see the need to buy a new truck at this stage of my life.

Yikes! My patience level would not have held out with that many issues!
