Actually there was a Company that sold one recently. Kingston Arms up in Liberty NY sold one a couple of years ago for about $600. It was a full sized gun and had a Ruger 10/22 magazine . Looked really cool and then the company went out of business ? Saw one on Gunbroker and the current bid is $1200 with 22 bids.
Chiappa Arms makes an Italian made M1 Carbine in 22 caliber . Sells for $250 and it can only be sold in NY if they pin the magazine in place and it can't be detached externally. Chiappa could easily make an M1 Garand and it would totally be legal in NY. I don't know why the M1 Carbine is an assault weapon , what about Remington Semi Auto's with detachable magazines ????
I'd love to buy a full size 22 rifle, 22's are so short . How much extra would it cost to build an M1 Garand like that ? I bet Chiappa builds one . I wish Henry would build historically accurate military guns , they have their own designs.
Cricket Arms sells a minature version of the Nagant 91/30 military rifle and it's a single shot 22. They also make a version of the 1903 Springfield in 22 caliber. Why only kid size rifles ???? With the price of ammo you'd think a cool full size M1, Nagant or a Springfield would be extremely popular.
