Tried to get out early on friday to catch slack and outgoing which should've been at 9am. Broke the inlet at 8:30, and my port motor went into alarm again..definitely temp related as the tell tale was sputtering. OK, we can go on one motor, but that motor suddenly had no throttle. Limped back to the ramp and took apart the throttle shift control, which was fine. Found some binding on the throttle mechanism due to a warn plastic part that shifted...popped it back in and we pushed our luck again. So in reality I turned a 5 minute fix into an hour and half ramp dissemble session. Broke the inlet again at 10:30, knowing we missed the better part of the tide, and I wasnt going to venture far again. Set up close in 40 ft and the fish were chewing..2nd fish was a keeper. Three of us had a decent bite going even though we weren't in a prime rocky location. Reset anchor once the kiddies came out and found another keeper on better bottom. Huge schools of happy flipping unmolested bunker had us shaking our heads. The bite started to slow so we tried a couple of very sticky spots on the way back towards the ramp....lost lots of rigs, and had no keepers to show for it in 50 ft. Water temps showed 51 deg on my machine. Called it a day and season figuring I have pushed my luck more than I should've with the issues regarding the port side motor. She will be heading indoors and I will begin working on getting her dependable for next season.

Drew, great report, if I can help in anyway with the motor let me know, I think you have a lot of little stuff that will need to be replaced or cleaned, if the compression is good, they are worth putting a few bucks into them.
Take Care.
