Got out again on Sunday with my daughter Ally, her BF, and his dad. I should've known the weather looked too good on paper with west wind 5-10.

Approaching the inlet it looked decent, no white caps atleast. By the time I pulled back on the throttles, we were rudely greeted to NW 15-20 and 3 foot rollers! It was like a completely different weather pattern that changed in less than 3 miles. I wasn't sure the Rhodan was up for the challenge with wind and tide together, but we rolled the dice. The trolling motor came out of the water a few times, but it held us in our spot and allowed us to fish, eventually coming home with 6 keepers, and countless shorts in 35 feet of water. Nothing huge, some barely making the cut, and plenty just short ornery fighters. The wind played games as it shifted to the SW for a half hour, then went back to NW, and eventually settling on due west as the gusts backed off to 10-15.
Most of the action over our 3 hours out there was on the outgoing tide and water temps showed 53 degrees.

Hoping the fish stick around for one more weekend as family is coming up and they would love to get in on the fun.

Hey Drew, Happy Thanksgiving, My sons and I went out last sunday, found a new spot about 45 minutes east of Milford.
I didn't fish but enjoyed the competition between my 2 sons, My younger son caught 5 keepers all over 17" and lost a monster when it broke off in the rocks, my older son had lots of small keepers, he doesn't like to fish with jigs and I think that's what made the difference.
Hoping to get out this Sunday for one last trip.
This will be the last year for my boat, I'm selling it. Right now looking at a couple of 28 footers, I got one guy almost down to where I think it would reasonable for me to purchase.
Stay safe and Healthy,
Jay
