I usually post this sort of vid in the off-season, but . . .

How the h*ll? A million dollar boat. . .

That "Stupid Human Trick" video was already posted on a thread with all those FL trips, quads, and quints driven by folks with ZERO experience tackling that particular inlet. Would enjoy setting up a lawn chair w/a cooler full of beers there some day to sit and watch fiberglass get splintered...

It looks like they had a steering failure. It looks like the two starboard outboards turned one way but the two port outboards stayed straight.

I think of this while running the unmarked channel along the jetty coming in Jones. The anchor has to be ready at a moment's notice.

Yep. This is why I run with my anchor just a bit loose in the pulpit. Good windlasses have a habit of locking up if you pull the anchor tight - so mine's always a trifle loose. And I test "blip" the windlass every single trip, before I leave the dock. Can't be too careful running next to that jetty.

Losing power or steering in an inlet is no laughing matter.

That said, there are too many irresponsible boaters to count.....
