:)

We have "feels like" temps of up to 119 on the Island right now Larry. Its 101 on my outdoor thermometer.

mine's reading about the same 120 - don't believe it - refuse to believe it.........

it's behind a post out of the direct reach of the sun - prefer to go with Weather.com's reading - it sounds sooooooooo much cooler:

Imagine that, it’s hot and humid in July down in Virginia!! Who’da Thunk it????

apparently a surprise for many as this is not normal:
Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 31°F to 87°F and is rarely below 18°F or above 94°F.

we've been well north of 94 for the better part of 2 weeks - with heat indexes above 100 (getting as high as 114)...

Temperature
The hot season lasts for 3.5 months, from June 1 to September 17, with an average daily high temperature above 79°F. The hottest day of the year is July 21, with an average high of 87°F and low of 71°F.
The cold season lasts for 3.2 months, from December 5 to March 12, with an average daily high temperature below 54°F. The coldest day of the year is January 29, with an average low of 31°F and high of 46°F

I've been here going on 6 years - I've NEVER experienced anything like this.................

ONANCOCK, VA

as of 7:55 am EDT

85°
SUNNY
feels like 95°
H 96° / L 76°
UV Index 1 of 10

and we've still got another 10 degrees to go before reaching the anticipated high for the day

It's here in LNB. Thunderstorms, torrential rains and wind. Possible flooding they say. But it has cooled down quite a bit already. sorry for people who have to travel in this crap tonight and tomorrow.(n)
