you're telling me - the Brit just called me up to the building because the Building Inspectors were there - tellin' him this was no good - that needs to be changed - they were shooting out of the asses - I turned up with all the paperrwork tellin' them y'all approved everything you're now tellin' me is wrong

they went away........................
;)

So had planned to go fishing around 13:00, and when I finally started walking down to the boat, the damn onshore breeze kicked in, but I still decided to head out. As I was heading out, I suddenly found myself ducking a swinging cockpit halogen light fixture, damn plastic case broke from the mount because of UV plastic damage. So far every boat I've owned has had cockpit "spreader" light disintegrate before I ever had to replace a bulb.

OK, wind was still building so I headed back home for first the first lawn cutting of 2022. The walk around part of the job took longer than normal and I logged 3 miles doing it and was accompanied by Todd Rundgren, A Wizard A True Star, and then ELP Brain Salad Surgery.

Got up on the Toro and fired her up, put Genesis on, Nursery Cryme with Foxtrot on deck. As I was cutting, I sensed a weird "bumping" on the right side of the mower, but couldn't find anything our of whack so kept at it. Just as Supper's Ready was ending, I turned to the shed, but before I could shut off the blades there was a bounced and BAM, the blades ran into something and the mower just stopped.

WTF??? Shut off the blades, restarted the mower and went ahead and realized my right front wheel was missing!!! Yup, that's what stopped the blades, but it wasn't damaged. The damn bolt that holds it in had popped out, and must have been loose the whole time I was mowing. Walked around looking for the bolt and the washer, but couldn't find it, so I nursed her into the garage instead of risking the ramp into the shed. Hopefully they'll have the part at the local shop so I can get it back together tomorrow.

And then it was off to the West Marine website for the new spreader light. Since there's two, I expect the other one to fall off soon. Well those crooks wanted $60 for ONE!! Time for Amazon and found a pair of LED ones for $30.

I've officially called it a day and having a single malt...oh crap, have to go to the basement and get another bottle. At least I know that I have 2 or 3 down there...
