Just checked my town beach web cam. No shore break at all, wind has flattened it out. Not a person on the beach until some asshat went across the camera walking his dog. (No animals allowed on this beach.)

Why aren't you down there fishing??

Had to drive back out east to pick up my venison from my butcher. Upon return had a couple of honey-do's. but 55mph gusts could blow little me into the ocean !! I will be out on the beach Wednesday through Friday although keepers in my stretch of the beach have been rare. Regardless, my buddy and I like our "alone time" on the town beach as casting shoulder to shoulder, especially now with so many first-timers, is not for us.

I think I got wind burn today, I was worried working under large Oak trees most all day I would be impaled by a falling branch!

didn't get the flag down soon enough with this wind and to prevent it from bringing down a cable wire and hitting a car in our driveway had to snap it off at its base with the help of a son and the better half who lowered and saved the flag. this was one of those 5 or 6 section 16' (?) or 18' (?) poles from Ace that served me well for 17 years. Question: without breaking the bank should I just get another or would a one piece fiberglass be better. (Of course, being a piker I think I could probably put it back up less one section if I can rework the cleat, lol.)
