Yesterday I went fishing at kissena park and fishing was great. I had 2 carp and I had a 20 plus pound Carp coming for the Bread but a goose came and took it. Bass all over the place but they were on the beds. Going back today. Caught both floating bread on the surface.

Yesterday I went fishing at kissena park and I caught one fish the entire day. 10 to 2pm using bread 🍞 . Took me 4 hours to catch this fish. The problem using bread on the surface is I am trying to stay away from turtles ducklings Swans and geese. At one point I had 7 turtles going for the bread and i pull it away and it comes off the hook easily the bread. I don't think it was my pb but I caught a carp between 10 and 15 pounds was a great fight. I didn't have a net so I tried to swing it in but the hook came out as I was trying to get a picture. Going forward all kissena trips will be posted in here. And all saltwater trips will be in separate posts unless we use the same boat.

Went fishing at kissena park Tuesday and Wednesday and the fishing was great. Tuesday caught 3 largemouth bass 2 pumkinseed and over 30 bluegill and 2 turtles. I only have trouble with turtles while using worms I can't see them on the bottom so they hook themselves. Went through four dozen worms. Yesterday had an hour and a half window to fish. Caught 2 catfish on bread. Didn't see any carp at all.

Sorry for the late report. I went fishing at kissena park on Friday and the fishing was great. I am noticing alot more fisherman with their families coming to the lake it's good to see. I was using bread 🍞 all day I fished the bottom and managed 2 Bullhead catfish. The key to catching Bullhead is casting it far from the wall . It's a challenge because the bread 🍞 falls off the hook easily. Also The closer the bread is to the wall the more sunfish are stealing the offering. I am using big blackfish hooks to avoid the sunfish and in case a big Carp wants the bread. After the catfish bite stopped I started sight fishing for carp. I like to float bread on the surface but there has to be a Carp there otherwise it's a waste of time. The sunnies will steal the bait in a matter of seconds and Ducks and turtles will come to take it as well. So I saw a couple of carp jump and I tried to catch but they didn't want to eat so I left the area and I went to the other side of the lake and it definitely paid off. What I like to do is throw one piece of bread to see if any carp are around and if there is I get the bread and throw it out there and wait. I saw a carp eat the one piece I threw out there and it was 15 seconds or less my bait hit the water it was game on. What a fight I get the net. And it was a 10 to 15 lb carp floating bread on the surface. All my carp this year have been on the surface. Only one I had on the bottom was when I lost my outfit. I did a quick video and released it. I tried again same spot but I probably spooked the other fish that were there and left. I did see bubbles walking on the path and tried that but no luck so I called it a day. The blackfish hook I was using was bent in half from the carp.

Yesterday I went fishing at kissena park and I caught over 30 bluegill and one pumpkinseed. I was using bread and worms. I caught my pb bluegill yesterday was near a pound was huge. I am having trouble uploading pictures. Yesterday I tried for carp I did bring two poles. I did see a few but once again they didn't bite. I casted far out and waited while catching bluegill with the other outfit l.When I reeled up the bread was still there and called it a day. Next time I go I will use lures for bass and only try carp if I see them. Tight lines.
