Hit the lake for a few hours. Not a bite and a bit too windy. Carp everywhere in the shallows, must be the spawn.

I have not freshwater fished in a while but I recall that carp spawned the last week of May and first week of June. Most of the time they would not bite but what a fight when they did ! Next year I hit 70 and will get my lifetime license for hunting and fishing and might give the sweetwater a go again. I only fished Ronk twice for bass in the 80s and was skunked both times.

Maybe time to start eating some to keep population down! I am doing that now with the tasty sea robin. Maybe I am getting Looney from the ' rona

Aren't carp the main ingredient of "geveltefish"(sic) ?

mrsparty,, my friend hammermill hes been carp fishing a few times in the pass 2 weeks,, he got a few 15pound carp thats what he told me,, and smaller ones too,floating bread on the top, he got a koi the other daytoo,,,but the day before it rained he got nada,, keep the reports comming,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ><))):>
