Sad day, feel horrible for the family especially when the father and son is doing something outside together instead of playing X-box. I assume it was a sit in kayak and they didn't know how to self-rescue. Be careful especially as the water begins to get cooler and wear your pfd.

My first thought when I saw this was the same; that it must have been a sit inside. But anyone kayaking without a PFD on ? Sorry, and my condolences, but that is a future Darwin award waiting to happen.
