Light spinning rod

Looking for suggestions for a light spinning rod for up to 2oz. Not togging with this rod I have my 7' Tsunami 701h for that so this can be real light. This will be for tossing small bucktails, leadheads etc. No customs looking to keep it under $150 and a longer rear butt preferably 12" or more to tuck it under my arm for a little leverage when needed. So far looked at TSSPJS-661MH $99, Daiwa Harrier HRJ64MLS $99 and the Centaur Constellation $149 and like them all for price and lenght of rear butt. Looked at the slim wave very nice but rear butt to short. I looking for the Proteus in a L or ML but cant find one yet to hold. I've got time as this is gonna be a Bday present in early March. Any other suggestions? Thanks

It's hard to say without knowing how tall you are.
From what I'm understanding. You like the but under your arm for leverage.

Silstar and Ryobi make a nice match reel for that rod.
You might have a reel seat issue at that height. Many
ways to work around it.

DAMN!!! I went to research this for you Flukinit only to find my Go To St. Croix Tidemaster has been discontinued!!! Every friggin time I find the perfect 7' inshore spinning rod for use with 3/4" Creek Chub Striper Strikes it gets discontinued! I'll have to rummage around the different mail order sites to order a few ASAP.

Anyway, I've calmed down now and can recommend their new value line, the Triumph. My Tidemaster is the 7' Medium Heavy Fast, and is exactly the same as the new line Triumph TRIS70MHF. I love CORK handles and butts, and insist that butts are completely corked. I've paired my Tidemasters with Penn Clash 4000s, loaded with 30 lb Suffix braid, the line test not being important, it's overkill, but it's the smallest diameter these old, fat fingers can tie if there are fish breaking all around me...

St. Croix rods are really great, can't recommend them enough.

Roccus thanks I'll take a look. The grip material doesnt bother me so much. I used to use/get only cork on my customs love the feel. But I also had a few made with x grip on 2 tog sticks and like it a lot. Also my last custom a beautiful cts 700L I went with Winn grip with a split rear and like that very much as well. All my customs have the same 13.5" that is the size I like to tuck under my arm for that added leverage.
I know fluke aren't the strongest fish out there but for me having the lenght on the butt to get that leverage makes a difference when you need it. Of the 3 rods I mentioned earlier I like the Centaur 6'6" UXL $149 the best then it's a toss up between the Harrier and 6'6" Tsunami. The Centaur has a great feel to it and plenty of rear butt. It's the lightest of their slow jig models I've seen with the light blue wrap.
I was all set had a nice spinner set up with my 7' Tsunami spinner which covered anything to 3 oz the I go conventional. Then Santa dropped a sweet Stradic 3000FL under the tree so for my Bday I'll ask for the spinner to complete the set up.

Check with John at Trophy regarding the warranty on those Centaur rods. It wasn't real good when they first came out. Its why I've never recommended them. Maybe its changed by now. I hope so.

Of what you mentioned the Daiwa Proteus SS rods are the nicest, by far. Frankie has a couple of their spinners, I believe, maybe give him a shout.
