First time was last week , no hearing protection , just some cotton stuffed in ears ,guy shows up next to me with a AR 15 with a Sonic Boom after every shot ......
My Amazon box arrived yesterday with 4 ear muffs AND the foam plugs ..... Live and learn .......

Not sure if it was just using little plastic plugs in the Army Reserves (artillery unit, lol) or qualifying with the .45 or M16, or even in high school and college with .22s, but I have had hearing aids for the last four years. Since I got back into shooting circa 2002 or 3, I also double up the plastic plugs with ear muffs. Be thankful the shooting "neighbor" didn't have a Mosin or a ported shotgun. Was this at an indoor or an outdoor range ?

Indoor at Nassau ...Brought our scoped Savage .22 's the Boys got for Christmas , nice little plunkers , need to adjust the scope a bit more , maybe today ......
