lot of guys practicing their casting

I bought this set up to use for throwing chunks. Both were purchased used.

Akios 666 Shuttle. I picked it up from Tommy Farmers website.
The rod I picked up used from the buy and sell on pier and surf.
Some kid sold it to me. The rod is a decommissioned Wheels Reels Fusion.
Rated for 6 to 10 ounce. Spooled with a 20 pound mono (Sakuma Night Crystal)
and a 60 pound shock leader. This is a true Hatteras heaver, zoned action drum rod.

The guides are dual purpose with line shedding properties.
You're not wrong. You can fish it conventional. Either way,
you're not wrong.

In the field I would use the thin part on the spool.
For fishing I would use the thick part on the spool.
If I did it the other way would I be wrong?

It's 13' pure carbon fibre. A 60/40 split and as you can see.
The but section is not thin wall constrution.

Tuned in and tuned up with a thumb guard and the right conditions
It can start to get a little ridiculous.

NIce cast chunk but loose the belly shirt

Maybe because of my aging shoulders but I have to go 3/4. Will have to switch back to the diamond and tube from the Kastmaster that I prefer dressed with my own bucktail hair and some Krystal Flash. and yes, some shad with a rare schoolie is about it for the last several days in my neck of the woods (SE Nassau). I didn't even get that yesterday.
Went to RM open beach on Monday midday and got 7 schoolies to mid 20s. Diamond jig or kastmaster, both with teaser. Were hitting the teaser more. Also got a couple in the smaller Tsunami sand eel. NW wind over my shoulder made it castable.

The study was based off two hypotheses on why yellowfin tuna and spotted dolphins often swim together in the Eastern Tropical Pacific (ETP). One: the relationship helps both species find lunch (the feeding hypothesis); and Two: the relationship helps both species avoid becoming lunch (the predation hypothesis).

What am I doing here?

He tells us what to do.

I love the tsunami airwave elite 9'6". Great rod and I can throw up to 4 oz. if necessary.
Lots of fish to be caught east of where you're fishing guys. Sunup every morning, a fish every other cast. Try a bigger diamond jig. I use a 4 oz. And sometimes use a teaser. Most of the fish are small, but the last couple days some keepers are mixed in if you fish hard.

Just not willing to make the drive except to go deer hunting, lol. if the coming nor'easter doesn't end the season maybe some of those fish of yours will make it to SE Nassau !!

No, that's OK, but the few times I made that drive I caught next to nothing. Would rather catch next to nothing in half the drive time ! I thought it was referring to Smiths Point and east. I did hear of a brief but spectacular blitz yesterday morning at RM. But aside from deer hunting I rarely get up b4 the sun anymore, no pun intended.
