is there any chance that "the Pier" might be in brackish type water?

disclaimer: no clue where Magnolia Prier actually is. Just passin' on "Oral History".....

Today I was fishing at magnolia pier and it was insane fishing. I was using a Sabitki rig. I had snappers sea bass shad peanut bunker and a fish I am not sure what it is. I will post a video and maybe you can help me. Had 30 snappers 30 sea bass 25 of the fish I am not sure of and 15 shad. Lots of fluke caught and a big keeper had to be 3 lbs. sorry no pic or video. Also an 18 inch fluke was caught. Sea robins When I got there a 4 Pound blue was landed on a live snapper. Going to go out on Saturday at magnolia. Tight lines.

Sorry for the late reports. I went fishing at Long Beach magnolia pier on Monday and Tuesday and it was insane fishing using the sabitiki rig. The only problem using these rigs is the blues. I had 3 on at once. They were about 3 or 4 lbs all 3 combined using 6 lb test line on light tackle was an amazing fight but when I went to swing then in they bit the line. Went from 6 hooks to 3. Yesterday had 4 different species snappers perch sea bass and shad. Went the day before and the same. Between the two days I probably had over 100 fish despite the very strong currents and wind. Going to wait till blackfish season starts to resume fishing. If it’s windy and rough I will go to magnolia pier if it’s fine I will go on the capt Lou or the Laura Lee for blacks. If magnolia is no good I found another pier that I will try. Tight lines.
