I thought this was interesting that nobody here knew. You guys are some of the most knowledgeable people regarding fishing. So I wrote Ward Melville. They mentioned the seminar schedule was updated.

This is an important topic and departure from what you usually hear at these events. So, I am all for it.

Actually, they gave this fellow my speaking slot at the last minute. But all is good. The WM folks have had me on the agenda 3 times in the past and most of you have probably already heard a great deal of my material. In case you have forgotten just join me on a charter this year and I can throw the BS around all day long!!!:ROFLMAO:

Perhaps someone can ask "Salty" about non-biodegradeable plastics ? (I would but having oral surgery the day before.) My offer to rent out my "NY Angler.com" hoodie or tee still stands though, lol !

Ha! You know, I may go now.

I have to say, it is nice to sometimes discuss ideas and people can discuss without getting upset. I have no idea what happens to Gulp when a fish swallows it. If you have a premise, you need to be open minded and hope someone can prove you wrong. I enjoyed the discussion. I was thinking that some of the many Captains here who catch and clean more fish in a season than I do in a lifetime might have chimed in. Maybe Salty does have an answer.

Yeah, I am going to "unwatch" this thread as well. As I have repeatedly stated, I lose very few Gulp! while fishing, the majority falling out into the kayak when netting a fish or becoming so mangled after catching a few fish that I simply replace it. I rely on seeing he bait "over the side" and "spit up" as to what profile and color to use but since I only fish for fluke or weaks in my local backbay its not rocket science. But while I don't thinks Salty will address plastics it won't hurt to ask. I will be eating ice cream in between downing ibuprofen that day. See you all on another thread !
