Tried one last shot for fluke on Saturday. Arrived into Star Island Marina and the flags were not moving at all. Sailed around the point and was greeted by a beautiful sunrise. Had high hopes. Started fishing during a total slack tide with some fish coming over the rails. Some guys managed a quick one or two keepers but the bite was slow. Captain decided to sail west and we were soon fishing off Hither Hills area. Lots of pods of dolphins and only a few other boats who quickly left after we arrived. Not much different there. Some guys managed a keeper here and there but the bite was virtually non existent. Sailed back to the point where the fleet was rather large by now. did not see many nets swinging on any of the boats. I thought maybe the fish left but it seems that the same boat managed limits all around on their Sunday trip. Slowest day for me all season.
