Well-Known Angler
We (my BIL, another friend and I) fished the two day fluke tournament (actually 3 of us on Saturday and 2 of us on Sunday). Started outside on Saturday but the water grew a bit uncomfortable so we went inside and picked every piece we could find in water no more than 10 feet, and as thin as 4 feet staying away from the crowd. We managed a 3.24 fluke for weighing which we knew was small, but a bunch of anglers planned to fish Sunday. We ended the day with 2 keepers. We had lots of fluke but mostly 18.5 -18.75. And of course a bunch of sea robins. One weighed 2.64 so we iced him as we were in the sea robin calcutta.
Went back out Sunday and fished again, some of the same areas but a bunch of promising "new" spots that fit into what we had done on Saturday. Again, tons of fluke, but only two keepers right around 20 inches and of course sea robins.
Nicely run tournament, BBQ after was good, talking with other anglers, etc. A 5.5 fluke won it not caught by us, caught outside. I did hear some really nice keepers were around outside with lots of action. So on to the sea robin calcutta...........................our group took that one along with a $675 payday! At least it helps buy more Gulp!

Does your Gulp look like this? Well, we caught a bunch of these guys so the mystery was solved. Snap jigging snagged most of them. And finally I did not want you to be the only person landing weakfish. LOL. One of the "new areas" we will be exploring more and looking for bigger.
