Finally able to get out and start fishing this season with my brother in law. We started off catching some small bass and the fish got bigger as the night got darker. We ended up with 18 bass, with 6 in the 26-28 inch category. Had them on small jigheads with plastics, bucktails with 6 inch white grubs, and found then later in 4 feet of water on black bombers. Trolling motor with the spot lock worked awesome - we had fish follow plugs and blast them within 10 feet of the boat. Was able to quietly get into some spots that normally you have to shut the engine and drift in. And although windy, the TM took care of everything. Be well, and be safe!

Too many fishermen discount the effect that engine noise has on a bite. I can tell you that an older, smarter fish knows the sound.

Hell when I'm fishing in shallow water, < 20', I shut down my sounder. Swear that makes a difference too!!

And seriously, what good is it when you can see bottom????
