No I wouldn't anchor inside,we used to do well outside in front of the bar, outgoing tide..hmmm... clam chumming inside the inlet on a sunday?? That means anchoring up in the middle of and adding to the mayhem?? I would say, naaahhhh, wait til tuesday maybe??
I haven't done it in some time however it was productive on occasion. Out front a bit SW of the inlet on yhe outgoing, used set up on the north side of the bar close to a break in the white water. I recall taking my young nephew and spending several hours helping him battle 28-30" fish to the boat. Those fish felt like 40#ers during an outgoing tide. Lol Get yourself a box of bellies and we'd use 1/2'd whole skimmer on the hooks (circle hooks). Didn't hit it every time but if you get fish behind the boat its loads of fun.Anybody clam chum in moriches inside or outside the inlet?havent tried yet this year is it to early to many skates an dogfish, thinking about giving it a shot tomorrow, anybody ?
Well we gave it a shot,no bass lots of smooth dogs, small blues,at least my granddaughter had a blast, lots of bunker out there some looked to be getting harassed by something, tried snagging a few but no takers, all and all a good day..
