This weather pattern is playing havoc on the spring fishing. If it’s not raining it’s foggy, if it’s not foggy it’s windy. Frank Sr, Frank Jr and myself decided to venture out the morning knowing it was going to windy and really get cranking after 9 Am. Only set one rod as we were bouncing all over the place, trolling at a low speed. Wasn’t long and we were on and it was a big fish, surfaced twice and was very large, well over 40+ after a battle it broke the shad off my rig. Boated more over and only landing one slot at 31”. Had many fish on we lost them halfway up. By 9 o’clock we agreed to head back had enough of the rocking and rolling.
