Nautical Twilight

Got out there early early a few days ago to fish some structure and see what was biting. Left the marina with barely a hint of crimson on the horizon. This time of year its mostly a night/early morning game with the bass, so I'm on their schedule. I get to the spot at around 5 am, it was pretty amazing to witness nautical twilight and the subtle gradations between then and sunrise. I would post pics but do not want to spot burn.

On my first cast caught a schoolie bass, then proceeded to catch a fish pretty much every drift on my bucktail. About an hour in, I noticed a large pod of dolphins enter the scene, truly beautiful watching them jump and dive. All in all once the fleet showed up, bite was over. Caught 8 bass to 36" all released, as always. A couple bluefish as well in the mix.
