Negative mojo that lolIts almost like Catch-22. If your bright and seen easy. You become a buoy to aim at. Dull and not easily seen, you have your own gravitation pull to rest that don't know what buoys are for.

I have to say I have a blue kayak not by choice but by that is what was available at the time.I also have friends who have the same color and I have no problem seeing them close to 3/4 of a mile away. All colors will tend to blend if you are not really looking. We are a small craft with not a lot of freeboard and so not a lot of the kayak is showing at any one time. That is why a flag or reflective tape or some other eye catching material is so important and a flag waving in the wind above the kayak is needed anytime you head out on the water. All it takes is one boater not keeping an eye on the water in front of him to create a very bad day for a kayaker. My new yak is mango. Not enough demand for yellow unfortunately so they dropped that color. Blues and greens are popular inland on quiet water.
No they don't I agree but I have lost my son who has the yum yum yellow that everyone said was so conspicuous while picking out his girlfriend in the same color kayak as myself. While blue is not perfect I think green ,white and camo are much worse in my opinion. All true but blue and green don’t help !
That is absolutely true Rick I forgot about that color it does tend to blend right in.The sand color disappears pretty good. I lose Pennman all the time.
But all kidding aside, I really appreciated all your input. Thank you.very true more than on way to skin a cat I guess
