Not The Best Way To End It

I knew the weather was coming, but thought I could get a few hours in WRONG, to make a long story short, wind, rain, loads of weed in the water, & a much stronger than expected ebb tide all led to a bust of a last trip. Weed made some spots unfishable. When I finally had enough, put a crab on & must have hit one in the head, a nice fatty looked to be at least 17" was welcomed aboard & released for next year. That's a wrap, well next week it gets wrapped.

At some point we all have to accept Mother Nature's call to end the quest. I am still hopeful I might get in this Friday with a NW breeze. However, I am not very confident about the steady Westerly wind forecast for the rest of the weekend.
So, if I am lucky Black Friday will be my last trip this season. I sure hope it is graced with some "Blackfish!

Overall, it looked like you had a very solid season, John. Something to be proud of. Rest up and get ready to begin the battle again next spring!
