I would put the probability of illegals actually insuring their vehicles at 0%.Yes it’s New York only from what it seems.
Just heard they passed a law stating illegal immigrants are allowed to file for drivers license. I hear people are outraged by it. ????
Well at least now they’ll have to to register and insurance whatever they drive.
I am the senior vice president of GEICO, your insurance company in New York, and I am writing to ask for your help. The New York State Senate and Assembly are considering multiple pieces of legislation in the next few days that, should they pass, will likely increase insurance premiums for YOU and all New Yorkers, even if you've never had an accident. If these bills are passed by the general assembly, they will be sent to the Governor for him to consider signing into law. |
Assembly Bill 5629-B and its companion bill, Senate Bill 3634-B, along with Assembly Bill 5623 and its companion bill, Senate Bill 6216 , are going to make it easier for trial lawyers to sue insurance companies and will have negative, long-lasting impacts on New York policyholders and taxpayers. (Simply click on the appropriate bill number to link to the text of the legislation.) |
Why should you care? New York families already pay over $6,000 a year per household to fund the Auto insurance tort system - which includes the costs to handle the cases filed in New York courts for negligence and other alleged wrongdoing. This is the second highest amount in the nation, according to the Institute for Legal Reform. Legislation like Assembly Bill 5623/ Senate Bill S6216 (authorizing first and third-party bad faith lawsuits) would have a potential to raise the cost of Auto insurance by an additional $7 billion a year in New York. |
What can you do to put a stop to this attack on your wallet?Contact your legislators* and the Governor today to let them know you don't want your premiums to increase and tell them to oppose these bills. You can find your legislators at the NY State Board of Elections Voter Information Site or you can search for them on theAssembly Membership Directory or by using the Senate's Find Your Senator Search Tool. Contact details for members of the leadership teams in each house and for the Governor are listed below. It is time to let them know you pay enough already for your insurance and do not want to pay more. |
Sincerely, |

Senior Vice President of the GEICO Companies
I needed to get insurance for goods in a storage house in Florida, rather than use their insurance at $13.00 / month, we bought geico home/ renters insurance at $7.00 p/m that covers the storage outside the apartment and loss of valuables from car break ins .. geico then reduced my auto policy by $3.00 p/m... cellie...
besides that, this Liberty Mutual commercial has got to one of the more crack pot, ridiculous advertising... lol... cellie...
