I think the eventual champ will come from the next round: Carolina vs Rangers is going to be a tough series. I hate the matchup but I have faith in our special teams and goalie.

Game one in the books was sweating at the end.

Ranger power play was overpowering! Mika had 2, should have had 3 goals.

Im sure Carolina makes adjustments after game 1.......need to hold home ice advantage.

I almost wonder if there’s any effect with the ice after breaking it down and setting up for Knicks game. And then breaking it down again tonight for tomorrow’s game I would think it’s on the slushy side.

They do not break down the ice. The ice is there all season long. The basketball court and flooring for concerts goes on top of the ice similar to a jigsaw puzzle.

No doubt we stole that game. Just watching it from a hockey fans point of view, the Canes were the better team. More shots, bigger hits, controlled play, the shorthanded chances late in regulation. I was already preparing myself for the let down of OK, we are going to NC tied after losing in OT.
The main reason we have a 2-0 series lead is Igor, and the power play....we scored 2-7 including the game winner, while Carolina shot blanks especially in OT.
Very happy we were able to hang around and eventually stole that game.

As long suffering Ranger fans, I’m sure most of us are used to losing that kind of game in OT over the years and were pleasantly surprised to see that puck go in and get the win
Lucky as they were to escape with that win they are going to have to tighten things up a bit moving forward. Cant keep allowing that many shots and expect Igor to stop them all
2-0 feels good and I’d be happy with at least a split on the road
