Every October striper in my area is a gift from Poseidon. Got my 1st October bass this AM, a 26” fish that was part of quick blitz 200 yds from where I was set up. Surprised I lucked out and was able to crawl over without spooking the fish that were feeding in 2’ of water on a mud flat.
After that flurry, headed to my Once & Done spot of late; I get one cast which generates interest, so if that fish isn’t caught, that’s all she wrote.
Place lived up to its name. On my first declared Last Cast, my plug got attacked with no hookup. I should have quit, but kept at it for another couple of dozen casts. You’d think I would have learned by now.
