Learned Colleagues:
We're on round three of bathroom sink faucets and found a low-price "winner" last year (below), BUT the gold finish has gotten "stained", especially "The Admiral's" one. Before this week I assumed it was all them fancy creams and such that she uses, and got confirmation when she spilled some contact lens cleaner containing hydrogen peroxide really stained it badly. I tried Brasso, which cleaned it a bit, but not totally. Didn't try Barkeeper's Friend yet, but thinking that won't work either.
I'm guessing I'll need to buy her a new one and was wondering what sort of protective measure we could use to repel any future chemical invasions. My mind went to liquid car or boat wax, ones without any grit. Of course I haven't touch car wax in years, and only use 3M Clean and Wax on the boat, so my grit free wax product knowledge has dried up. Does anyone have any recommendations, including other products I could use besides waxes??
