I was fortunate to be able to get out one last time for fluke. I had heard there were some fish being caught around the bridge in Fire Island inlet area. Started the morning fishing the West Channel for some Weakfish at the end of the incoming, small fish but loads of fun. Once the outgoing started we focused on both sides of the Robert Moses bridge, by no means were there a load of fish caught. Worked bucktails tipped with gulp as well as Sea Robin strips with spearing. Bait did not seem to have any appeal Tuesday, high hook went to the 'boat' dragging a blackfish jig tipped with a gulp 'new penny' shrimp, figures lol. Went home with 3 keepers just over 19" and threw back at least a dozen shorts. Had a very enjoyable day on the water, boat ran well, smoked a good cigar and managed something for dinner. I felt really fortunate to have had the opportunity to get out on a weekday and hit it one last time for fluke 2020.
