I used to play Evony. They got hacked a few years ago and grabbed my email address, which gets lots of spam/junk/phishing emails now.

was engaged against 4 players from various countries - I eliminated 2 of 'em - the 3rd sends me a message:
"hello my well known opponent. i do not want to make a too fast evaluation, but i used a spycard and think you could not win the game. my income now is 460 and i have enough place to grow fast. you not. and when we met in 8 or 9 turns here Tang Yala you will not have enough armys to get out..... "
my response?:
"as General Anthony McAuliffe said in December 1944 to the German Commander requesting his surrender at the outset of the Battle of the Bulge "NUTS!!"

Then I checked his profile to see just what country he was playing from.
Germany


He responded:
"OK - I hope you know that patton is far away...."
