Opening tog

With the forecast for opening day not looking good,we knew it would be a small window. Frank sr and I decided to venture out with no plans on crossing sound and fish our normal drops we made the decision to stay local. Friend of ours next to us had a crew of four going out we both arrived at the location and set anchor. We were both on sticky spots. The bite was very slow as wind and tide were making the boats do a lot of swinging. Picked away at fish with no keepers except a few keeper porgies. The winds picked up even more and the rain started. Frank and I decided time to head in. We had about 20 short blackfish and a few porgies. Our buddies next to us had 2 keeper blackfish when we left. Don’t believe they were gonna be far behind us. Things will only get better.

Tough to fish Tog properly when the wind has you spinning like a top at anchor. As usual, we are all hoping for better conditions, which will help the improve the catch.
