Overall, a satisfactory season

Paddle fished nearly five dozen mornings since early June and towed home seven fluke and nine weaks, along with some cocktails and a kingfish. Yesterday I snagged a few peanuts yet could only get them halved by ravenous "almost cocktails." Decided to switch to a Krocodile and quickly caught five and marinaded and barbecued them last night. Leaving in a week for London and with the pool to close and the weather forecast, this was it for me. Last year only towed home four keepers. Oral surgery after we return from Lisbon so not so sure I will do much surfcasting until we get a couple of frosts and Bambi will be the quarry. Best of luck to those still at it.

There was a lot of bluefish out there on Saturday around the Meadowbrook Bridge area. Just awful with that NorthEast and then East wind, it was suppose to be incoming tide until 2 PM on Saturday and that wind was pushing me out the inlet right in the middle of incoming !! Caught about 5 shorts and 3 sea robins.I think they were the only sea robins I caught all season. I'm too embarrassed to post reports this year. Not a good year for me. At least the motor was working good and had fun just being out there. This week coming up looks like a blowout, wonder if the Fluke will be there next weekend ?? 5 Dozen Mornings fishing since June ? , you got an Energizer battery!!! Maybe we'll see you paddling on the Thames ?

while we did kayak in Canada on our 2025 Viking cruise, we have no plans to do so in Europe, lol. That's us out in front with our paddles in perfect synchrosiny (if that's a word.)

No fishing out of Major Thomas Jones Inlet this week or off the Island of Nassau with the howling wind this week. That guy is buried in Massapequa off Merrick Road.
