My Summer Rut pattern is settling in: Wake up, go fishing, catch bass.
Wind blowing ~ 10 kts from NW and slack tide, where to go?? Well Head of Tide of course! It's protected and the river's fresh water flow provides flow. With the alewives running you even get quite an avian show of eagles, ospreys, herons and cormorants. Had a nice pick of 7 fish up to 23" for an hour. As I fished a few shore-bound folks also stopped by including Caroline and her non-stop yakking husband. Never caught his name because she never said a thing. "Look Caroline!! That guy caught anothah!!!" Roccus Rule of fishing #2 - The boat MUST look good!!!
Once the bite stopped I went to another high tide spot, but the someone turned on the wind machine's afterburners so I headed back to the barn after a delightful morning.
