Peanut Butter Pie

If you or your children like peanut butter give this a try.
It's easy to make and taste great.

Peanut Butter Pie
pre made store bought graham cracker pie crust or oreo pie crust
In a large bowl I put in
1 cup or more of Powdered Sugar
6 oz of Whipped Topping (cool whip)
8oz of Cream Cheese (soften)
8oz of Peanut Butter (1/2 a 16oz.jar)
I then stir and mix this by hand with a large spatula until mixed
thoroughly. (not as hard as you might think)
After mixing then "gently" put mixture into pie crust and spread
out until pretty even.
Finally put about 8oz of Whipped Topping on top and spread evenly.
Place in Frig for at least 2 hrs. before serving.

NOTE: it's almost impossible to use a kitchen appliance to mix this with
but you can try if you want to

I’ve been making this for almost 40 years. It’s my favorite. The only difference is that I double everything but the sugar and add 1 cup of milk. You can heat the peanut butter in the microwave and mix everything but the cool whip with a hand blender until smooth. I then fold the cool whip in after the other ingredients are mixed. I then put it into 2 pie shells, because making 1 is never enough.

Did you ever try the oreo pie crust ?

I’ve never tried the Oreo. I have used the chocolate graham cracker though as well as mixing in mini chocolate chips into it. For anyone one with a gluten allergy, gf shells are available.
