Pizza time everything pizza

fresh will work well with that

that and fresh basil leaves if you can find them

and a really hot oven - north of 450 - put the basil on in the last minute or two or it will burn up

Yeah. Maybe 3 things. It's getting those 3 things to work right.
There's a lot of things that have to come together correctly.

Have you ever tried to make a pie other than english muffin pizzas?
:sneaky:

Actually years ago I use too make them Dough cheese sauce wasnt that hard They kinda go well together no matter what you do too them

I just use two "off the rack" sauces. Either Bertolli Marinara Sauce or Don Pepimo Pizza Sauce “

We typically stow away a few paks of pizza sauce after making a huge pot of Sauce for a Sunday Dinner.

But I would like to try one of these when we do not have any left.

I think I’m going to try to make a sesame crust round pie.

Making a pie can be complicated enough without having to make the sauce as well. Especially as the difference between homemade sauce vs. off the rack sauce may not really be noticable.

I'm into easy provided it doesn't compromise taste.

These two sauces work well in that regard. After all - pizza does fall into the category of fast food - so why make it extra lengthy?

Just my 2 cents.

Your mileage may vary...............
Once I find a sauce recipe I like I'll make enough for six to eight pies. I'll make containers with enough for a pie and freeze it.
I'm going to use San Marzano Tomatoes. Little more money, but they are the best.

Do you make your own dough? The supermarket by me has pizza dough. I'll try theirs to start.

as I said - I'm into easy where possible - I buy the dough - either supermarket, bakery or pizzeria - you can get it at all three - if you like the crust from a certain pizzeria - ask if you can buy it - many will sell it

check your local bakery - so of them :stock" pizza dough. Of course you can make it - but then it goes back to the post I made about the sauce. Extra work. Also check with your favorite local pizzeria. Many are willing to sell you their dough.

I usually pick up a 1/2 dozen things of frozen pizza dough from the Kings Park Bakery when I'm in town.

Right after I pick up 2 dozen Everything Twists from Kings Park Bagel on my way back to VA.
;)

don't overthink it otherwise it becomes more work then you wanna do & you'll just run to your local pizza joint & buy theirs

You started making pizza because there is no good pizza near you. The pizza here in Farmingdale is excellent. I'm making pizza because I want to try and see what I can do. I want to make the best I can, and if that means going the extra mile I will. I want to see how well I can do.

Even though I ordered it through Amazon, it came from Walmart.

I'm going to try a couple of pies tonight.

Sounds fun!
Homemade pizza night at our house is always a blast!
My wife has progressed to making her own dough and sauce.
We usually make multiple kinds.
Thin, round, square, margherita, and all sorts of combo's of sausage, pepperoni, black olives, onions, pepper.
Usually there's some sort of roll up or "pizza pop" style thingy with the leftovers(y)
My 14 yr old helps more than I do;):)

So I tried and it was not bad for my first time. I need to work on spreading out the dough. The first one came out with too much crust at the edge. The second one was a little better, but not much.
The sauce was OK, but I'll look at another recipe. I'll accept help (^^hint, hint ^^)
There was none leftover.
