Fished for blackfish today with Ray from Home Depot on a strong moon tide.. Anchored up near Old Field Lighthouse. There were about ten boats scattered about the area.
Got some really large Porgies on the green crabs. Took home about 6 for the table. There was some life on the black fish. Many, Many shorts and one that missed by a pencil line.
15 and 99/100 inches. He is still swimming.
Water is still pretty warm. Moon tide started out soft on the incoming but turned and ran hard on the outgoing tide.
Jigged Buoy 11 on the way home. Nothing for us today after about half a dozen drifts at a pretty fast pace. Wind and tide together.
Saw a sea robin come up a jig on another boat-that was it.
The wind started coming up so we headed home about 3PM.
