Ya know why they call em DUCKS, cauz it originated from parking lots where Ducks needed to Duck from cars... cellfish...:D
.

C'mon Cell, how about some native FL species??? Iguanas and those hybrid ducks aren't, as well as just about EVERY Palm Tree species in the state.

Get them alligator, Key Deer, and FL panther photos!!

I’ll keep it simple for now, here’s a Palm Tree ? fluckin a mighty oak. A interracial marriage sort of speaking...cellfish...

LOL!! (y) (y) (y)

I just find it very amusing that much of the flora and fauna which "define" FL to most folks are non-native. In this case I'm pretty sure you got one of the very few indigenous FL palm trees, but most of the ones used in landscaping like the date and royal palms are not. Hell for that matter, NONE of the citrus fruit trees are native either, we can thank the Conquistadors for them.

PBS had a great American Experience recently talking about the Everglades and how it was transferred from swamp to home and farms, with lingering, dire ecological disastrous effects. The most informative part was about some wealthy Philadelphian who purchased 1 million acres of the for $4 million and tried to convert it to "usable" land, losing his shirt int the process, giving rise to the saying, "I'll sell you some swamp land in FL".

Enjoy your stay!!
