Hit the Ocean early this morning with Jakesdad and crew. We got about half a mile offshore and the fog hit us suddenly, forcing us to turn around and fish the river for a while. The action was constant and we never did go back outside even when visibility improved. Getting our NJ overs was easy but the slots were harder to come by, plenty of shorts though. I finally used a new (for me) Gulp offering that flutters nicely but is too flat to thread on a jig. It's called Baitfish and it goes on the Teaser like you hook a spearing, thru the eyes. Pink fuse was hot! |
