Well with bucktails at 4-5 bucks a piece spending $40 for a mold doesn't take to long to break even if you've got the lead. For me its just one more fun thing to do between seasons.

Never spent more than $2, on a buck but I hear you doing it as a hobby. But I would have to melt lead over my barbecue grill ! If I am not deer hunting from late October through March I am dressing some bucks and teasers, or making ship models. I never got into reloading as although it would be another winter hobby I just don't shoot enough to make it worthwhile economically.
