Quick question re. Saltwater registration

This summer I have friends and family coming over. They are Canadian residents, do they need to get the saltwater fishing license and if so do they just use their canadian license number?

They need 'em. NY is just a free registry, right? No big deal, you can do it on line. I do it when I go down there to "slum it"...

Ok. So they use their license number and address or should they use their montreal address?


Yes its free just wanted to know procedure for them to get it.

If they fish on a Party or Chaerter Boat they are covered under the boats blanket license, just like everyone else. I have had some Canadians fish with me before and things worked out fine.

It will be my boat.
