let's see:
a dog
2 squirrels (yes - I actually nailed two of them)
2 sea gulls crossing the CBBT going to Norfolk in the same day - one in each direction
opossum
2 turkeys
a cat (during my 1st road test - failed that one)
a bat

think that's it............

I have been lucky I guess, been on the North Fork over 20 years, & have not hit one yet. I do come across enough road kill to be able to "harvest" more tails than I need.

I took out a Squirrel several months ago heading into Sayville for Bagels early one Sun morning, It bothered me But I tried to avoid him by braking. Hate when I see any freshly hit.

Now you know where the green and red explosion splatter comes from on the expressway.

messy mess...

notable mention: driving north on 95, Twas two very large confederate flags blowing still in south bound lanes in Carolinas, strange site... cellie...

You'll see the same around state line on I-85 between Charlotte and Atlanta. My great great grandfather fought for Confederacy and was a resident of South Carolina while his brother for the Union as a resident of Connecticut. Can't imagine the stress.

That would make for an interesting Thanksgiving!!

Saw a good one on 95. 2 foot chunk of furry meet with a 6 foot blood trail after. That truck must’ve been messy after that.

No pics, but saw a lot of deer on an interstate in NJ just a bit back. Including one lonesome leg sticking up like some kind of macabre drumstick.

Very strange.
