I had to see for myself. Shout out to Phil at Cow Harbor for helping with the where and the what. His advice was spot on.
So I made the trek all the way to Smithtown Bay and the reports are accurate. Once we found the sand eels, we found the fluke. As many fluke as we wanted. Only one keeper, but the quantity was phenomenal. Plus, I've never seen fluke move so much. I'd catch 10 on a drift, then drift the same track and nada. A short move and back on them. Spro and 3" white gulp or small fish strip.
