Say Good Bye To Catch and Release Striped Bass Fishing

Once again, to date it's the only game in town. Without that I bet NOAA/ASMFC would have gone with their normal 50% mortality guesstimation. I do look forward to the results from the latest study; it will be nice to have an accurate number on 1 aspect of striped bass.

Regardless, since we all agree Garbage In=Garbage Out, until we can get reasonably accurate information as to how many bass are actually caught, released and retained, whatever mortality factor is used is almost a non-issue. IMO, accurate catch and harvest numbers are the most important numbers, and are key in every aspect of recreational striped bass management.
