Shooting Black Powder Smooth bores out on the marsh

Is there any law that says you can't shoot a black powder smooth bore loaded with blanks on marsh land in Nassau County ? I have a Brown Bess Revolutionary war replica musket and Replica Civil War muskets, no range in Nassau allows Black Powder , and I'm thinking just go down on the marsh and shoot the blanks. No lead at all, just blanks .

And when someone sees what you're doing and calls 911..............how the heck is anyone going to know you're shooting blanks least of which will be the PD?

People go duck hunting all the time down there , so the State Police will know that if a call comes in. Best to contact a DEC officer and ask if it's legal. At Reenactments they shoot black powders at Old Bethpage Restoration in Nassau . Fun loading the 75 caliber and seeing the big flash in the pan and then the big puff of smoke.
