I seem to remember something made out of plastic IIRC, which you opened and put one cap inside. Then you threw it straight down onto the sidewalk. There was a "firing pin" in the nose that, when it hit the ground, struck the cap and it went "bang." I think we called them torpedoes. Memory is a bit hazy after all these years. And that's what we did with the caps that didn't go off usually because the cap pistol hammer didn't strike the cap dead center.
