Jerrold Starcom 36 cable television set-top box from Tulsa, OK. A Cable TV converter box from the 1970’s and1980’s. The control (blue dials) on the left selected from the three bands and the right control was for fine tuning.

Couldn't find the last year of manufacture, Lot of them on eBay from $15 to about $30.

For some reason I think MTV was channel 35
 
Is that a steamship?
I used to summer on Big Lake, near Grand Lake Stream, Maine.
I was told that a steamship used to tow a flotilla of guide canoes with the "sports" to the various spots on the lake, and the guide would paddle them around, until the ship picked them up at the end of the day.
 
Was watching Year by Year episodes on the Story Channel, the year was 1967.
Pretty much everything is up by a factor of 10
