Went out Thursday 9-1PM and tried for Fluke. Very slow start for Fluke. It was middle of outgoing tide , 10-15 East winds. Read reports about Fluke in the channels around Jones Inlet, tried Reynolds channel on the East side of the Point Lookout Bridge, just 1 small Fluke and that was it for the day. Fished the Inlet, off the construction dock area along the rock piles to get out of the wind a little. Nothing . Hard finding fish during the week when the bay is empty. Better going out to Peconic Bay in May and wait until June for local Fluke. Slow slow Slow and cool windy days. Didn't see one party boat in the Jones Inlet area.
I hope we have the great Meadowbrook Bridge Fluking again this summer. That fishing was really good.
